QuietComfort 45
Wireless over-ear headphones for music, commuting, travel and work; particularly interesting for HADONE because of how the battery, pads, hinges and electronics age.
auto-translatedDesign strengths: ear pads are a cheap standard spare on most models and restore both comfort and seal; most models keep working over a 3.5 mm cable once the battery fades; folding hinges and a hard case protect them in transport; multipoint and codec support often grow through firmware.
Recurring long-term points: battery capacity falls with charge cycles; ear pads and headband wear out; hinges can develop play or break with frequent folding and transport; ANC microphones can be affected by dust and moisture; Bluetooth multipoint, codec and firmware faults can cause dropouts; the charging socket and buttons are mechanically stressed parts.
